Alright everyone, it is Thursday May 29th, 2013 at 12:31am.
I have officially avoided social media for all of 31 minutes and I'm antsy. Every one of us was going to post something online regarding how we are going to be unplugged from social media and although I know generally what they are all going to say I still want to go read it for myself. So weird. But I am prevailing! My 4G and wifi is off and I am not getting any notifications which is making this a lot easier. I'm so concerned come tomorrow when I won't be able to text anyone...especially my boyfriend.
I know, you're probably wondering "Wait, Lizzy. I thought you said you were going to avoid social media? What is with the not texting stuff?"
Well, reader, we decided that we didn't want anyone who get into a situation where all they did for the day was watch netflix or text everyone in their contact list to compensate for their loss of time on social media. We wanted to be a little old fashioned and only be allowed to call or email people and we wanted to lessen how much time we interacted with the media on TV. In other words, how would our lives change without the constant distraction of technology?
